Position Summary: 

The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)/Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) specializes in using non-invasive equipment to perform ASE-guided ultrasonic recordings and doppler flow analysis of the heart/related structures, in an IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) accredited facility, to aid in the diagnosis of and treatment of cardiac diseases. Responsible for being well versed in defects and diseases of the heart and know how to clinically apply echocardiography to detect those diseases/defects. Responsible for managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values. 

 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonographer Program 

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonogrpaher (ARDMS) or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) in the state of Missouri within 6 months of hire
