Position Summary: 

The Lactation Consultant is a specialist educated to focus on the needs and concerns of the mother and baby in order to prevent, recognize and solve breast feeding difficulties. The Lactation Consultant provides ongoing educational updates to the physician and nursing staff. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

Education: Nursing Degree    

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri and certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE)

Experience: One Year Experience working with lactating women and breastfeeding infants.
