Position Summary: 

The House Supervisor responsibilities include the management of the Nursing Department and the direction and supervision of hospital wide nursing activities on his/her designated shiftAdministrative decisions utilizing knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standardsKnowledge regarding social, economic and legal issues affecting the healthcare SystemSeeks opportunities for keeping up-to-date in healthcare practices Develops, directs, implements and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimal healthcare deliveryMeets the Joint Commission Standards for NursingResponsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values. 

 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  Associate's Degree in Nursing plus 5 years of RN experience may be considered in lieu of the BSN requirement. Masters                         Degree is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisor competence has been demonstrated. One year management experience preferred. 

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
