Position Summary:
The Director of Revenue Cycle Training is responsible for the strategic leadership, design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive training and development programs that support all hospital-based revenue cycle departments. This role plays a key part in improving operational efficiency, reducing error rates, supporting compliance, and enhancing employee performance and retention.
The director will lead the development of onboarding curricula, ongoing competency training, and professional growth pathways across front-end, middle, and back-end revenue cycle functions. This position also serves as a liaison to the medical group training infrastructure and will partner to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and expectations. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education, or related field is required.
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, Education, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital or health system revenue cycle operations.
Experience managing a training team or function within a complex healthcare organization.
Experience implementing or managing an LMS or eLearning platform.
Licensure: Professional certifications such as HFMA’s CRCR, AAPC’s CPC or CPMA, AHIMA credentials, or ATD certifications.
Lean, Six Sigma, or performance improvement certification preferred.
