Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the administrative and clinical activities of assigned unit(s). Functions within the limits of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, St. Luke's Des Pere’s Hospital and Patient Care Services policies and practice guidelines. Provides appropriate leadership and supervision 24/7 for assigned nursing unit(s). Promotes an environment in which staff can work effectively and cooperatively. Communicates appropriate departmental as well as hospital and hospital information to staff through monthly department staff meetings, sharing administration memos when appropriate, inter-office memos/communications, etc. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree in nursing required
Experience: 3 Years RN experience
Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri. BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
