Position Summary:
Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leaders in designated departments. Assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicates those needs pro-actively to the HR department, and works to develop solutions. Formulates partnerships across the organization and within the HR function to deliver service, helping employees and leaders meet their goals. Acts as a champion and change agent for the organization. Ensures that St. Luke’s values are reflected in all of its operations. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with the major field of concentration in business, psychology, sociology or human resources management, or completion of three or more years of relevant Employee Relations experience with ongoing work toward degree completion.
Experience: Five or more years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist, preferably in a hospital setting. Possesses knowledge of and experience with employment law and labor relations. Able to provide advanced consulting on and skillful application of HR principles, concepts, policies and practices to solve business challenges. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact successfully at all levels, excellent mediation skills and ability to handle confidential material.
