Position Summary: 

The Data Center Security Technician provides operational monitoring of hospital information systems, data center infrastructure, and security technologies. The role is responsible for monitoring backups, critical applications, email security, endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and system health while responding to operational incidents and assisting user requests. The technician documents activities, escalates critical issues, and works closely with Network, Security, Help Desk, and Clinical Information teams to maintain a secure and highly available computing environment. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values. 

 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

 

Experience:

 

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Information Technology required.

Experience with security operations, systems monitoring, or data center operations preferred.

Previous healthcare IT experience preferred.

Help Desk or desktop support experience is a plus.
